Kia ora, e te iwi! Not long to go now until Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori 2018! Another aspect of Kia Kaha Te Reo Māori #twotrm2018 is ‘Whakarongo’ (listen). In my work with tamariki we watch #moana often, and I love that we have a #tereomāori version too. I always enjoy listening to tukuna au. I also have a #waiatamaori playlist and a fair few #ngapuhi waiata feature on it too! What are your favourite waiata Māori?? Another one dear to me has to be purea nei - he tino ātaahua!
Being in Tahiti has awakened a mauri deep within me. A mauri my tīpuna planted thousands of years before. And now as I leave, I know where I must be and what I have to do... time to be brave and go in deep... #waiataMaori
🎶NZ Music Month🎶 Day 16: @maimoamusic Juuuust scraping in with a 11:58pm post but we made it whanau! 😁 One of the most beautiful things I've seen as a result of Wairua, is our babies (& adults too) being proud of their Maori heritage, embracing it & having fun singing along in Te reo. Following the journey on @maoritelevision was awesome too! 🤷♀️Massive achievements so far Maimoa, supporting you guys all the way. 👍😀🤔😊🎵___________________________________________________
Made it to Vancouver... can already feel the mauri of the kaupapa I am here for! Flying solo this time... but not really aye... since when did indigenous folk ever believe they were alone 😉😎 #kaupapa#wairua#tipuna#turtleisland#WaiataMaori
