The @Ultraslide slide board is great tool to condition lateral movement really effectively.
This exercise gives an awesome training effect (burn) to the abductors, adductors and flexors of the hip which need to be strong and conditioned due to the dynamic demands of field sport.
The key is to keep an athletic low position to help move smoothly and to transfer your weight efficiently.

Member Spotlight! Tim Rogers (@tjrog084) has been a loyal member of our MADfamily for a couple years... we are so proud to share his story...

1) What brought you in to MAD, and why did you decide to give us a try? “Well, it was my roommate Jeff that got me to join in March of 2016. After years of not being active and attempting to be active in normal gyms I thought I'd give the 10 for $10 a try based on his recommendations. On the 6th day of waking up at 6:30am and not being able to walk down the stairs, I wasn't sure who this Tim was, but I loved it.”

2) You’ve recently shared your personal transformation with the insta world. Do you mind elaborating a little bit? “Sure! After I first joined MAD and did it for about 5 months, I had some things get in the way of me doing it consistently and I had to put it on the back burner in the fall of 2016. After a cruise in spring 2017 and a routine physical pointing out my weight of 190lbs, I had a serious reality check and decided to put other things on hold and rejoin MAD at the unlimited membership and change some habits that have held me down in my personal goals. Cue to 7 months later, I was down 23 lbs and saw physical changes in my body I never knew were possible. I ran a 5 mile race in 28 minutes and feel the best I have..well ever. I knew it didn't stop there and I will continue to keep pushing myself.”

3) What is it about MAD that keeps you coming back? “Where do I even start?? First Dusty and Alex run a fantastic gym, where the members are just as important to them as if they were one of their children. Second, there is no "day in, day out" feel, it's always something new with MAD and how they train their members. Also, every single trainer I've encountered (which is all of them) couldn't be more personable and dedicated to making you the best athlete you can be. I truly can't imagine myself anywhere else to continue my fitness goals. At the end of the day, you want to be somewhere you feel welcome and included. Somewhere that pushes you to be your best, but never will push you to fail. MAD Raleigh has executed upon this perfectly and I am thankful I have found my place in the MAD community!”
