This summer's off-season has shaken up many of the teams in the league. Several superstars around the league will be wearing a new uniform come Opening Night. New powerhouse teams were built but at the cost of playoff contenders. With all of that factored in, here's my predictions of which teams are going into the 2017-18 NBA season the strongest.
27. Phoenix Suns
2016-17 Standings: 24-58, 15th Western Conf.
2017-18 Predicton: 27-55, 15th Western Conf.
The Suns have not been to the NBA Playoffs since 2010 that streak will not end this season. The time that it will end however, is quickly approaching. The Suns' rebuild of sorts has left them with a lot of good young players and even some young guys with star potential. These young studs include Tyler Ulis, Alex Len, TJ Warren, Marquese Chriss and many more. Devin Booker has ascended to become the team's leader and after a historic 70 point performance last season, his hype among the NBA is at an all-time high heading into 2017-18. With the fourth pick in the NBA Draft Phoenix picked up one of the most athletically gifted players from the 2017 Rookie Class in Josh Jackson. With his athletic ability and defensive skills, Jackson has a lot to contribute to this young Suns team and a lot of time to tap into that potential of his. The Suns did not make many moves in free agency besides picking up their own Alan Williams, a good scorer at the Power Forward position. Phoenix is a young team right now and although they may miss the playoffs this season, it won't be long before they can make their wau back into the race.
