☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ Reminder to you and myself as well:
Get up and STRETCH!!! And yet, we don't REALLY need that reminder if we learn how to listen to our bodies.
FUN FACT: do you know that after sitting for a number of hours, we humans will all stretch in some way. It is in our condition, it is part of our cellular makeup, our DNA. Encased in this magic matrix of aponeurosis and more fibrous connective tissue ( coined "fascia"), our body senses the hardening of the fluid-collagen-stickiness that is fascia. The fascia conforms to the shape we hold; then, when we change that form, we inherently know that the fascia needs to adapt as well. There are many layers to the web of fascia that can all be affected over time by injury, bad mechanics, habitual patterns, or poor posture. But, what is absolutely amazing is our body's resiliency and willingness to improve its condition.
So, listen to the body and give it a chance to work well. Move more, in multiple directions, and connect to core strength to support that movement.
We might need the reminder. But the body does not. It just might need to be heard and healed to speak its wisdom effectively.
Ps can you tell I am about to lead a weekend module on fascia, manual therapy and adjustments?!! Geeking out over here 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓Check out my 500 hour TT on my website for more info.
