COLD SHOWERS (let me sell you on this idea)...👇🏽

Can we agree that getting out of our comfort zone should result in self growth?
.
Can we also agree that it’s hard AF to get ourselves going after waking up in the AM?
.
I take cold showers about 5 mornings out of the week. I do this within 10 minutes of waking up. I will turn the shower on just enough so the water is running, which means it is the coldest it can be. I will then mindlessly jump in and let the water hit every dry spot for 30-45 seconds. The state of shock I initially feel makes me feel alive and it’s a pretty damn intense...
.
Now, you probably think this is a silly idea, but here’s why it’s beneficial...
.
No one wants to take a freezing cold shower. I mean, why would you when you could take a warm one? We think this idea is silly because it’s not what we’re use to. It’s not comfortable...
.
But the concept is what matters, not your feelings. Jumping in a cold shower first thing in the morning is a great habit that allows you to overcome the first task out of your comfort zone for the day. You will feel a feeling of accomplishment after you do it... and also an adrenaline rush. Now you have proven to yourself that you can do things out of your comfort zone. You will find yourself more willing to do other things out of your comfort zone. All because you did one thing in the morning that others probably think is weird, crazy, and silly. Hmm... I’d say that anything we consider to be “out of our comfort zone” is usually abnormal... weird.. crazy.. silly.
.
Cold showers are also great for our skin, hair, pores, and battling depression. And that’s just facts. Now only 1% of the people who read this will actually try it.. and that’s normal. Because 99% of people won’t be willing to get out of their comfort zone.

Let’s talk about Fats .
Fats are an important part of a healthy diet
.

They provide essential fatty acids, keep our skin soft, deliver fat-soluble vitamins, and are a great source of energizing fuel
.
But we have to be aware that there are good fats and bad fats
.
Choosing the right types of dietary fats to consume is one of the most important factor
.
Two beneficial types of fat are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated
Polyunsaturated fat most consists of Omega-3 or Omega-6 fatty acids
Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in fish (salmon, sardines), walnuts and canola oil
Omega-6 fatty acids can be found in soybean, and sunflower oils
Omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and Omega-6 fatty acids promote inflammation .
Sources for monounsaturated fat include avocados and peanut oil
.
Here are a few fats you want to avoid, deep fried foods, cookies, pastries, chips, cream shortening. Stay away from anything hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats as well
.
