Happiness is simply the gap between our expectations and our reality.
It's the things we never imagined we could achieve that bring us the most joy, like falling in love unexpectedly, acing an exam when you thought you would fail, or being blown away by a country you weren't looking forward to visiting.
A beneficial exercise to do when you're feeling down is to ask yourself: What would myself from 10 years ago think about the life I have today? 💭
You'd be surprised how many things you've achieved that you never thought you would 🙌
