SELF DOUBT. The thing that can plague you, tease you, or bother you to no end. To lack confidence, to second guess, or to not believe in your abilities or talents. Everyone encounters it from time to time and I am no exception. I’ve been battling this a lot this #prep. It took a picture like this to see how far I’ve come and some very motivating and encouraging words from others to get my ass in gear...literally. I’m there 🧠, so bring it on 💪🏻

I don’t even know how many times I went down and back but my heart was racing.! Must have done at least 8 sets with the sled for as minimal rest time between as I could.
I see people everyday doing the same type of workouts. Change things the fuck up!
Are you wondering why you may not be seeing changes as quickly as you’d hope?
Most of you don’t really push yourself in the gym and majority of you do some of the same shit all the time. I see it everyday. You should be breathing hard and breaking a sweat with almost every exercise you do. None of this waiting to really push it at the end of your workout, you should be trying to push and go hard for almost every set you do. If you’re not dropping down to your knee’s to catch your breath after certain sets than you’re just cheatin yourself. Don’t wonder later on why you’re not getting the results you expected from the half ass workout you put in. You get back exactly what you put in💪🏽🇺🇸

The most commonly forgotten and most skipped piece of the pie for competitors
.
It’s almost embaracing how much it’s over looked by many
.
We diet for months
.
Train hard for months
.
We spend a lot of money on suits, shows registrations, coaches, tanning and so on
.
But leave out one of the most important aspects of your show day package
.
Why?
.
Because most are not informed correctly on importance
.
Or let’s face it
.
Most are lazy
.
Depending on organization your show day appearance is 50% of your score
.
Why the hell do most competitors half ass their posing?
.
A question I don’t have the answer to
.
I’m a firm believer in practicing at least 8 weeks out, daily.
.
Why?
.
Because that’s what it take to look like you belong on stage
.
Because posing is hard and takes practice
.
Because we get shit done.
.
Because that’s what it takes to win
.
Pictured here are armatures and pro’s practicing together month ahead of their competition for their fall shows. Everyone in the room knows what it takes and is willing to give their all to do their best. And I respect the shit out of them for it.

Kale
.
One of my favorite greens
.
A staple in my diet for many reasons
.
It's such a densely packed food with lots of attributes
.
Too include, protein, fiber, vitamin A,C, & K.
.
Even has omega -3's ( not as much as say, fish )
.
But to put on display why I consume several cups a day is as many of you know I have a diet rich in Potassium and magnesium to help aid in my sleep.
.
I personally like to put a cup or two into my shakes in the morning along with my protein powder, almond butter, coconut milk, and blackberries.
.
One might think you'd taste the kale or kale would make the shake taste bad, but with everything else, in the shake, you don't even get a hint of kale while drinking.
.
I also will have a cup of two in my daily salads which typically are for lunch, and at times dinner depending on my schedule.
.
The funny thing is growing up, I wouldn't touch kale let alone greens.
.
Oh how the tables have turned
.
Now I will preach to anyone who will listen how beneficial greens are
.
I also find my digestion is better with a diet rich in kale and greens
.
Funny?
.
To me, yes, but this is just the truth guys
.
I've grown to love kale an if there's an option while eating out I will order it
.

Trying to remain Lean after my 1st Show has been tough. ·
However, its gets easier and easier, since this is the course I want my life to take.

Find your Passion and you will never make excuses for not pursuing it.

2 weeks Post-Show. ·
Hardest part is staring into my Pantry, and trying to stay Lean.
·
Good news is, I feel Great waking up everyday, thats all I can ask for!

Shreddz are still around, sitting right around 180lbs~

Having some Delicious Banana, Oat Pancakes with a homemade Berry spread, instead of syrup.

Love being able to cook in my own home again!
