Ever since I’ve returned from Hawaii I have been a little MIA on here 🌞. I just haven’t had any desire to be overly consumed on my phone 📞. I think I need a little break from always thinking about how I’m going to present snippets of my life on an app 🤔. Because, if we’re honest, no matter how authentic we try to be on this platform, it’s still only 1% (maybe) of real life 🌸. No matter how much you feel like you know someone you follow, you really don’t know them at all or anything that happens in their life 🙆🏼♀️. So, I guess this is just a reminder today to not get too caught up on an app 😅 — that instagram is literally designed so that we can pick and choose what to share in order to show the best of life’s moments 🌈. But, remember that we are all humans; a little messed up and rough around the edges, and what you see today in your feed is probably the smallest percentage of that “instafamous” persons actual life. You’re probably really similar to them, and there isn’t much that separates your life from theirs ✨. And, just know, that the things that go undocumented and maybe aren’t as visually pleasing in our lives are just as beautiful — if not, more than the moments of perfect lighting we choose to share 💫. Your life is worth celebrating whether it’s “insta-worthy” or not. So, go live your amazing, ultra unique life and enjoy it in FULL presence. You can tell me about it later 😉.
