Weightlifting is never being just OK with your numbers, it’s about always chasing higher numbers after every sesh. Tonight you can't tell but I was for the first time happy with what I hit. I haven’t clean and jerked heavy since AO3 in Grand Rapids pretty much a year. At the beginning of this year I took several steps back and focused on all the little things that lead to bigger issues. Tonight I witnessed it starting to come together, yes the form is still not spot on but for the first time that long I am not unhappy. You can make all the excuses and I have had a lot of them but that’s weightlifting no one cares how tired your legs are,how sore your back is, how tight your hamstrings are etc. It’s about what you can hit when you have to. 290x11 and then 375x2 on squats. Also did 205x11 on bench. I was just supposed to hit a rep max at 290 today but I haven't handled any heavy weight in like a year. I'm like 90% sure that 375 for a single would be a 10# High Bar PR and I buried that bitch for a double. Still kinda fat though. -

130# on Snatch and 200# on clean an jerk for some doubles. Everything felt great except that second clean and jerk that I had an uneven grip on. Also did a set with split jerks to see how they felt/looked. If anyone is actually decent at weightlifting I'd appreciate some help. God knows I need it. -
