We took a safari/ open taxi to cinnamon beach and it turned out the driver was also picking up someone who was paying for a tour. He stopped at all the great viewing spots and narrated a bit of history on the way. After we got off, @tayhunk and I explored some of the ruins of the old sugar factory, went on a short hike then spent the rest of the day at cinnamon beach. Someone had mentioned earlier that it was completely destroyed and not worth going to. So glad we ignored them. Although the shops, cabins and overall campground were completely wiped out by the hurricanes, the beach itself was still paradise.
