It’s official. Only 2 more weeks!!!!! I had my final pre-op today with my surgeon & it went really well. Answered my remaining questions, went over all of my final incisions, took pictures, and of course paid the money. He actually put me at ease this time around, sometimes it has not been that way in the past so I’m so relieved and grateful for today.
I have one more pre-op physical next week at the surgery center but I’m on my way! I’ve been pretty vocal about this surgery being for my legs, but there are a few other components. My leg incisions will be from the inner aspect of knee and up to my groin to remove all of the excess skin from my thighs. He is also revising the posterior aspect of my body lift to help with my buttock. You can’t just make incisions on the butt to remove skin so the only way to attempt and help that area is to lift the buttock up. So he will be removing my old back incision, removing a piece of skin from hip to hip and pulling my buttock upward. Hoping that will be enough! And sorry if TMI, but they’re also addressing the mons area. You can’t pick and choose where you have excess skin/pocketed fat post weight loss. 🤷♀️ He will be performing a tiny bit of lipo there to remove the pocket of fat & then remove the skin at a later date (kind of like how my legs were done in stages). I’m nervous but I’m starting to get excited too! I did find out that I will have drains this time around in my legs. That is new territory for me!! Not sure if that means I won’t be able to shower until they come out 😱 I guess we shall see!!! Start sending me the good vibes guys, it’s getting close! 😊 #plasticsurgery #plasticsurgeryafterweightloss #weightlossjourney #weightloss #thighplasty #thighlift #buttocklift #posteriorbodylift #liposuction #excessskin #excessskinremoval #skinremovalsurgery #skinremoval #countdown #preop
