*Residential Structure Fire - Victoria Drive* Shortly after 4pm, 3 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, a Battalion Chief and Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire reported on Victoria Drive. Several fire department units were in the area after clearing a different incident and arrived at the fire within three minutes. The first unit on scene found heavy pressurized smoke showing from a detached single-story wood frame garage. The fire was controlled within 20 minutes. It caused structural damage to approximately 1/3 of the building and major smoke damage to all the contents stored inside. Firefighters prevented the fire from extending to an adjacent home and car parked in the driveway.
The cause of the fire is accidental and likely caused by a malfunction in an electrical cord servicing a refrigerator in the garage. Loss / damage due to this incident is estimated to be $25,000. #santarosa #fire #firefighter #workingfire #structurefire #srfd #santarosafirefighters #santarosafire @santarosafirefighters
