We’ve all walked into a home and fallen in love with what we see, and try to rationalize very tangible structural and design issues. When assessing whether a home fits your needs, and even style - look past the lipstick and try to figure out whether you have a pig or not.
Things like paint, electrical and light fixtures, hardware, landscaping, and even appliances can be changes. Worry about things like ceiling height, room size, floor plan, and the lot. Those are things that are harder to change, if at all.
The rule of Thumb is - “If you can buy it at Home Depot in a box or can, don’t worry too much about it."
