Wow what a week, 50 miles on white water, messing around, getting stuck in hydraulics, having "out of boat experiences" on the new river, and experiencing the best scenery west Virginia has. Going off the grid gave me much time to think and ponder decisions, friendships, colleges, and most importnantly: the future. It's hard to go so off the grid and not change in some way, small or large. Thanks to everyone, guides, friends, and the rafts for making a great trip.
Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue ridge mountains, Shenandoah river
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
