Landed in NJ at 6am which is 3am LA time and decided to get a workout in πŸ€” Probably not one of my best life decisions, but I didn't want to get here and instantly be lazy πŸ˜‚ Went to my first class at @8springsstudio in Jersey City and took a Pilates reformer class 😐 Bruh . . . πŸ’€ I should have PTSD from all of my other PR experiences but I never seem to remember how hard it is πŸ™€ Let's just say I survived πŸ™ŒπŸ» Technically this is my start of LA's #classpasschallenge even though I'm not in LA . . . I actually have been asked this quite a few times recently so I've done some reflecting.
Who says you can't love your body as is AND still work toward changing yourself for the better?
The girl on the left was happy in her body.
This was honestly the start of my complete self-acceptance and self-love and body positivity.
Between these pictures, I've changed my workout regimen to something that I truly enjoy.
I eat to 80% to fuel and nourish my body.
And I eat 20% to make my heart and soul happy.
I have finally found this balance that is constantly talked about on SM.
.
Our bodies are constantly changing.
SELF-LOVE AND BODY POSITIVITY DO NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO STAY STAGNANT.
As long as you're making decisions based on what you want, and not what society is telling you to do, that's all that matters.
Self-love means loving your body at every stage.
It's why I hashtag #LoveYourEveryBody.
Love yourself when you're feeling bloated as much as when you're feeling lean.
Love yourself when you look tired as much as when you're glowing.

Remember that self-love looks different on everyone.
It's not black and white.
It's through thick and through thin.
It's loving your body not only in the good days, but everyday.
If you want to be better for yourself, be better for yourself.
Isn't that a form of self-love anyway?

It is amazing how my body can change in just a couple of months. I've learned that the only way to really change yourself is by getting out of your comfort zone. For years I've been yoyo dieting, going to the gym without touching any heavy weight. I've seen a real, visible change only since I started weightlifting and I couldn't be happier.
The best thing I could have done was stop complaining and say "Ok, I need to do something about this". That's when I walked into the gym with a totally different attitude, and since what I'm a new person, on the inside and the outside.

This meal prep took me about 1 hour to make. I honestly didn't think I would have enough time but look I did it! It's possible for everybody regardless of how much time you think you have! it's been 3 months since we've been back from our trip down south and honestly, I feel like I've been off track since then πŸ™„ I know balance is so important but my life hasn't been balanced either. it has been leaning way to the side of indulgence βš–οΈ I've been trying to figure out why and I'm not sure but I know working until 8pm every night doesn't help. laziness is at an all time high and cooking dinner is the last thing I want to do. but that is not an excuse! this is a post to keep me accountable and to start getting back on track to a balanced life. My best little bug. Y'all, if you don't LOVE your job, what're you doing with your life? I'm 27 and I'm a full time Nanny, something I never thought I'd do and an education I didn't pay for; but I'm so happy. Lord knows at first I was worried what others would think, but now I just shrug my shoulders and wave. This baby allows me to workout, do crafts, play at parks, get outdoors, swim in pools and go sledding in the winter - and that just skims the surface. God is good. I love fall colors. Literally fall time is my favorite time of the year (and yes I understand that Arizona doesn't see an "actual" fall) and I am SO excited for it to be sweater weather soon!πŸπŸ‚

For the LONGEST time, I was "making it" in my workouts. I wasn't contracting my muscles or pushing myself to that "next level" because, 1.) I was dying as is, and 2.) I didn't KNOW I was supposed to be doing those things. It wasn't until studying up on my own, learning from those around me and attending therapy sessions for my achilles that it all came together. It's taken my workouts to the next level and it's only been about 2-3 months of focusing on these small things but I'm excited to see progress 6-12 months from now in doing so. Flexing this bum HARD while cooling off on the treadmill.

I started by combining 30 g oats with water and cooking for 2 minutes, topped with 2 fried eggs, turkey sausage, fresh cilantro and @traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning (if you haven't tried this yet RUN and get some) πŸ€— so satisfying and filling! Definitely will be adding this to my routine.
