Oh just me and my baby bump! I'll be 16 weeks Monday and not showing yet whatsoever. I am eager for it to make its appearance! Everyone shows at different times and I'm sure we all think have different views on it --- me, personally, am kind of jealous of those with an early bump! Of course I want to see my baby soon! We waited a long time for this baby and I can't wait to look down and my toes and see evidence that he or she is there! My OB said it will be awhile because my uterus is retroverted. Besides the occasional headache and having to pee all the time, I feel FANTASTIC! Seriously, any first trimester runners out there --- push through the fatigue and nausea and stay active! You will thank yourself once you hit the second trimester! From weeks 11 to 13 I went 11 days without working out at all and it hit me that if I didn't get back at it I probably wouldn't start again until roughly February when the baby is six weeks old!! My OB told me, "Don't quit! Abruptly stopping is so bad because you'll have far too much weight gain and your body isn't used to being sedentary and you'll probably end up with high blood pressure and preeclampsia. Slow down and decrease mileage if your body tells you to, but going from running 50+ miles a week marathon training to nothing is so bad for you."
