Kanye West snaps picture of his childhood home during visit to Chicago... months after his charity Donda's House cut ties with him
He is currently in Chicago with #KimKardashian.
And on Friday, #KanyeWest shared a photo of his #childhoodhome in the Illinois city.
The former home of the #rapper appears to be #deserted, months after a row with his #charityDondaHouse, who later cut ties with him and changed their name to #ArtsofCulture Inc.
The property, located on the city's south side, was the #homeKanyegrew up in with his mother #DondaWest, who died in 2007 due to complications from cosmetic surgery.
The home was supposed to become the #headquarters of a charity he co-founded with friend #Rhymefest in 2011 - Donda's House - to help #Chicagotroubledyouth.
Right before the #publicfallingout, the #organization also attempted to #separate itself from West, releasing a statement condemning his public support for #DonaldTrump.
#Kanye didn't respond to the accusations - instead wife Kim came to his offense via Twitter; she accused Rhymefest of failing to run the charity properly.
Rhymefest has won two Grammy Awards - including for a song written for Kanye - and won an Oscar with John Legend and Common for the song Glory in 2015.
Following #Kardashiantweets, the foundation revealed it would no longer use the name Donda's House.
'This has been an incredibly difficult decision but the #socialmedia quotes from #KimKardashianWest, as well as the expressed intent of her family running the organization, has brought up to this decision,' it wrote in a statement.
'We will continue to #supportyouth in our #endeavors. We encourage Kim and Kanye to #indeed pick up the baton of service.' #trendingnow #KanyeWestlatest #celebritiesnewsfeud
