Having a day where you just don’t feel like really doing life? The everyday grind, eating healthy, working out, cardio, whatever it may be. We all go through these slumps. Even the biggest inspirations in the fitness industry feel this way. Sometimes they last a few hours and sometimes they last even a couple weeks. How do you get through these struggles?.....You train your brain what to do when these feelings come to get yourself refocused.
Today I woke up and I did not want to leave bed. I wanted to call off every responsibility I had to do today and be lazy. I love what I do and typically hoping out of bed to train at 5:00AM is no big deal. I got up and went anyways. I went through the motions, came back home and decided instead of my usual routine I am going to break this funk. I did some writing on my thoughts and feelings of what is happening in my life currently and what I want to have happen in the next 5 years. I took about a half hour of my time doing this and afterwards I felt more clear minded than ever. I felt like I was back in my zone and ready for the day.
If you are in a funk try taking a step back and giving your mind time to rest. Don’t act on emotion. Sort out everything that is happening, slow down for a minute and find yourself again.
