#TransformationTuesday Look What I Found. Feeling a bit nostalgic and shyt. So did you know that your boy used to work for the NYC #FireDept aka #FDNY from 2002-2007 as an Emergency Medical Technician? And did you know that, that uniform right there used to fit a man that was close to 300lbs 6'1? Well it did. So I know what it feels like
I loved that job .... People use to be in shock to see my young partner and I come to their crib at 22 years old. They couldn't believe that we might be the guys responsible for possibly saving their life or the life of their loved ones. Yoooooooo!... I used to wear my NY Yankee fitted hat backwards and be like "Yo Wassup? Who Sick?" (& I stayed getting in trouble for that shyt). I've seen it all out there from killings & deaths to sprained ankles & hang nails. l had 4 pre-hospital saves and I help deliver 3 babies while at the patient's home. I also worked the 2003 blackout of NYC and I remembered my partner and I had to carry an elderly sick woman down 10 flights of stairs because the electricity was out (no elevator playa sheeeeeesh) , we got her down to the ambulance and on the road just before she went into atrial fibrillation. I guess I was always into helping people but what I realized long after leaving that job is that ......... I can't help others until I HELP MYSELF
All the advice in the world will never help you until you help yourself.
