“I was in the Air Force for 25 years, and I loved every bit of it. When you reflect about your past, what you could do, and what you can do, I know I want to do this all over again. But since I can’t, I’ve sent my son to do it for me", recalls MAJ (Ret) Adrian Ching, a Pilot from 122 SQN.
And sent his son he did. Today, CPT Andreu flies the very same C-130 as his father did at 122 SQN too. “When I was younger, my dad used to take us to the RSAF Open House, and from there we saw the evident camaraderie. We saw how everyone enjoyed being in the Air Force, and how it was really like a family there. That really inspired me to serve my country by joining the Air Force,” shares CPT Andreu.
Despite the generations, the heart and spirit of camaraderie remains strong in the airmen and women of 122 SQN.
Happy 37th Anniversary, 122 SQN! Thank you for always giving nothing but your best, living up to your motto of being "Dependable". #TheRSAF #RSAF #C130 #NS50
