No plans for lunch on Wednesday? Join us at our July Quarterly Luncheon to hear from Mr. Harold Leverenz, PhD about @Synagro In Vessel Bio Conversion Facility-Sand Island WWTP and how they produce Class A Exceptional Quality Biosolids production via anaerobic digestion and drying. He will present a summary of historical, current, and projected SI digester operations.

Harold Leverenz is an environmental engineer with extensive experience conducting studies on water reuse and resource recovery from waste streams. His recent work has included the development and testing of novel water and wastewater treatment processes, such as nutrient recovery from urine and digestate, upflow anaerobic bioreactors, ecological filters, rainwater catchment systems for potable water supply, and anoxic treatment wetlands. In addition to pilot testing, he also utilizes wastewater treatment process models to characterize the operation and potential for resource recovery in waste and wastewater systems. Harold serves as a project engineer in the department of civil and engineering at the University of California Davis (UCD) and as an independent consultant on selected projects. Harold is a registered civil engineer in California. Education: BS, Biosystems Engineering, Michigan State; MS and PhD, Civil and Environmental Engineering, UCD. #hawaiievents #hwea #awwahi #ascehi #engineering #resourcerecovery #biosolids #wastewater #freshwater #UHManoa #HPU #hawaiiliving #luckylivehawaii #cleanwaterhonolulu #sustainability #RRR #waterprofessionals #WEF #honoluluevents #daveandbusters
