Today she graduated. 3 years of the greatest example of persistence & discipline I have ever seen. ➖
Throughout the past 3 years there have been many many weekends I walk in from the club and as I head down to my apartment I notice she is already awake, already studying. She continues to study for hours on end from the wee-hours of the morning till the end of the day. ➖
I have never seen books bigger than the ones she has had to study, memorize, and carry to & from the city... daily (on hot-overcrowded-miserable city buses). There was one time she had me lift her bag to feel what she carried to school... after lifting it I thought she was joking. The bag had to have over 50lbs. of text books inside. ➖
There have been times I walked by her as she was studying and said to myself "I don't know how she does it... I don't know if it's worth it". Never would I let her hear this, but there were times I wanted to quit for her. I can't explain how much dedication & discipline it has taken her the past 3 years. ➖
From watching her journey through law school, I have a new found respect for attorneys. They definitely make the big bucks, but certainly endure unimaginable-grueling school careers that most wouldn't last a week in. ➖
Wherever she ends up career-wise, someone will have one determined-disciplined & most of all persistent attorney working with them... Who knows, maybe she'll venture into music & be the head of our legal team one day :-) ➖
I'm going to brag for her (because she is not the type to brag)... This is the real-deal. This isn't a highschool or regular college graduation. This is Law School. She is going to be an attorney.
Congratulations to my sister Toniann Cianci (Esquire). ➖➖ No I'm not tagging her. Thirsty Losers. "The tassel was worth the hassle" #ProudBrother #Persistence
