hey guys! update time 😆😆 i’m currently on week 19 of BBG 2.0 (or bbg stronger 1.0? still not sure what i’m doing LOL) but it’s my 6th round of doing bbg so i definitely have the hang of it 🙏🏼💪🏼💪🏼 .

i get my workouts in, i get yoga in everyday, ive switched up my food everyday, stopped eating late everyday, and the key: STARTED GETTING MORE SLEEP. the second i started getting more sleep i started seeing results! i can’t believe sleep can make such a difference y’all but DUH: you muscles need time to recover!!!! i had been running on 3-4 hours of sleep for YEARS so no wonder my muscles NEEDED the sleep!!!! .

today i did a 2 hour 15 min yoga flow with myself and then did week 19 BBG abs circuit! SO: i treated myself to this delicious pre work snack 😍😍 all gluten free/vegan: waffle cone with chocolate/pb swirled froyo and brownie bites and chocolate chips on top 👏🏼🙌🏼👏🏼🙌🏼 #letsgetit

Sometimes I have so many ideas and thoughts that I’m paralyzed. I’ve found the ONLY solution to this is to just TAKE ACTION, any action. Everything is figured out along the way.
The other option is procrastination—a form of perfectionism. Where we won’t take action for fear of being WRONG. In this state we get nothing done, take no risks and stay stagnant.
I practice this in my painting. When I feel this angst, I just start putting paint down, moving and feeling. I make quick decisions, even if they’re not “right,” at least I have momentum.

This week I did a lot of thinking and evaluating what is working and what is not working for me recently. Never once in my decision to change up what I’m doing , did I think about quitting altogether. It’s not an option for me to throw in the towel, and that’s a victory for me! Did today’s liift4 workout using the resistance bands as opposed to the weights, and trust me it was still just as hard if not harder. Although personally I am still a fan of using classic weights, the bands are the perfect option to use for travel!

3 reasons why working out in the morning changed my life.

I used to be someone who worked out late in the evening most of the time but after playing around with my schedule, I really can’t go back to training late and here’s why:
-
1️⃣ NO EXCUSE- it’s so easy to decide last minute that you should work on so many other things instead of exercising when you leave it to the end of the day. If your day starts with a workout, there’s no chance to get busy first, get it done without second guessing!

2️⃣ FEEL ALIVE- work outs boost your energy and mood so why not start your day with a mood booster! Added bonus of having more energy to workout because I don’t know about you but by the end of the day I’m drained and definitely not giving my best effort.

3️⃣ FEEL ACCOMPLISHED- starting your day with a workout is one task you can already cross off your list for the day! Feeling like you’ve already accomplished something before you even start work is such a good feeling which will make you want to get more done during the day!

Now of course, this means waking up early and may not work for everyone’s schedule but if you can totally try it out! Morning or at least early afternoon is my favourite

Day 21 #gravityissues #yogachallenge with @cyogalife I mixed things up a little today. I took a week long break to rest my lower back because I'd done something to it. So painful! Today I felt like it was good enough to get back on my mat, slowly and gently. First slide is #dolphinpose or #ardhapinchamayurasana at the wall. I wanted to work on shoulder strength and alignment to improve my #handstand Second slide is #samakonasana or #transversalsplits in #headstand or #sirsasana And look, I'm away from the wall again! So tonight marked the end of Project Me with @360fitgym! This 10 week program was absolutely fantastic! I’ll get my total inches lost in a few days, so stay tuned.
Here are my strength results:
-Push-ups: starting 2 -finishing 10
-Iso hold: starting 59 secs -finishing 1 min 9 secs -plank: starting 1 min 30 secs- finishing 2 mins -10 Rep squat- no starting due to injury - finishing 115 lbs
-10 Rep bench press: starting 65 lbs -finishing 85 lbs
-10 Rep deadlift: starting 125 lbs -finishing 175 lbs -15m 150lb sled push: starting 7.52 secs -finishing 6.82 secs
-250m row: starting 59 secs- finishing 57 secs
For some reason I didn’t weight myself at the start of the 10 weeks, but I am down 31lbs since March 10th!!! Some of these gains may seem small, but they are the product of so much hard work and dedication. Thank you @360fitgym and @redefinedwellness for being so kickass!

The past few days a few people have made me realize that stepping out of my comfort zone and sharing my story really does have an impact on others. 💞 I have made it my mission to help at least one person every day whether it be encouraging words, sharing a recipe, or setting up a meal plan. 🥑🍍I am starting to see that the energy that I put out into the 🌎 , eventually comes back to me. .

I have had people reach out and tell me they don’t quit their workouts because they see me doing mine, and if I can do it, they can too! 💪🏻Others shared that they have lost 27 pounds since April, 10 pounds since May, and 4 pounds in just two weeks all because they committed to a program and stuck to it. 🙌🏻These women are becoming more confident and comfortable in the skin they are in and I couldn’t be more proud to walk along side of them. 💕

These messages from people over the past few days have helped to take my mind off a very stressful time. You see, coaching isn’t about the money 💴 or the recognition 💎. It’s about helping others reach their goals. It’s about putting positive energy out into the world, to hopefully make someone’s day a little bit better. Got to the gym a little early today and had some time before spin class so I squeezed in this quick workout to work my two problem areas (bum and calves).

Nothing great or super creative here. The point is quality, not quantity. Each exercise can be super effective if you go slow and really isolate the muscle you are trying to work. Concentrate on form.

👉🏼30 calf raises (10 toes out, 10 toes in, 10 toes straight)
👉🏼20 front laying leg raises? (pause at the top)
👉🏼10 hip thrusts (go heavy, go slow) (double chin for the win)

I repeated this 4 times I think before I needed to run over to spin class and I can already feel it. And it was maybe 20 minutes and only 3 exercises. Quality, not quantity. .
