Thank you Medi-Cal, thank you to the county of Orange, and thank you Hope House. If you struggle with addiction, reach out. This country and our state of California is far greater than we realize. Reach out for those helping hands and allow your heart to beat to a new tune.
I will take everything I learned from these 4 months I spent in rehab and use it to move forward and push. I am not perfect and I will still stumble but at least now I will be stronger when life's difficulties pass me by.
I was an addict. Now, I am a survivor and a fighter. I have an addictive personality but I just got to learn to dominate my own self and play back the tape to where the actions of my addiction always left me in the end. I can live in the moment now. Why look back to the past and wish things were different when instead I can realize that the past is NOW that I will be looking back on years from now. The time is now and now I am fiercer.
One thing I learned was to be impeccable with my word - to be kind to yourself and to be kind to others in the words which you speak because they are powerful and like a ripple in the water, will grow bigger and bigger and have an affect on the world. My addiction was the result of terrible behavior and low self esteem. Moving forward, I'm gonna love myself more and my actions will surely speak louder than these words that I write. Hey, I'm still sober 3 days later after my discharge and that's a start! I'm still a force of nature. Watch out world, here I come. Let's see where this road of sobriety, self love and self confidence takes me.
Thank you all for your love and support. I hope to join you soon. #sobriety #selflove #confidence #sober #MediCal #orangecounty #hopehouse #addiction #hope #love #pride #rehab #impeccable #survivor #fighter #future
