“Find happiness in yourself by broadening your horizons and learning new things. The more you learn about the world around you, the more you learn about yourself.”

I can’t even begin to tell you how much we learned in Peru. The knowledge we gained from this trip has led us to seek out even more information about Peru’s history, culture and the Incan empire.

When it comes to architecture, Cusco and the sacred valley did not disappoint. One thing I have learned about myself through my travels over the years is that I love architecture! No matter where I travel to, I always find myself analyzing the details and structure of beautiful buildings, churches, walls, fountains, you name it.

This is Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús.
It is a historic church situated in the Plaza de Armas in Cusco. It is actually built on an old Inca palace (Amaru Kancha) and is considered one of the best examples of Spanish Baroque architecture.

When the Spanish invaded the Incan empire they destroyed many Inca buildings, temples and palaces. They did keep the remaining walls as bases for construction of buildings and churches like this one.

Why just travel when you can thrive? Plan your summer getaway with us on #SunnyIslesBeach!

#ICYMI @a.a.ron_sarver & I got engaged in Niagara Falls!! I gotta say, July is always a great month. Over the years, I've traveled to the Smokey Mountains (*08), Syria & Lebanon (*13), Toronto (*14), Chicago (*15), New Smyrna Beach (*16), & about 3 Tiger's games *17. I also had hot dates with @lukebryan in *16 & *17!! July is so good to me. Summer heat, beaches, mountains, seas, beautiful university campus, Comerica Park, family, friends, sun & fun. Don't forget whiskey, flip flops, sundresses, & cute hats all summer long. All of these experiences are amazing memories for me.
My life, struggles & joys combined, have brought me to this summer, where the man of my dreams, the love of my life, my handsome officer who really loves me FOR ME - my culture, my quirky characteristics, my sass, my dorkiness, & flaws - who has supported me in all my hardship & celebrations since the day we met, asked me to marry him on July 14, in beautiful Niagara Falls. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I am beyond blessed & so excited to enjoy the rest of my life with him. ❤️ you to the moon & back, babes.

🇫🇷✈️🇬🇧... last stop in Europe.

Aaron & I had an amazing weekend in Niagara Falls, I couldn't have asked for anything more; Aaron spoiled me rotten!!! We had so much fun!! The second we got there, we dropped our bags and immediately went to go see the falls. My photos don't do it justice! It was majestic in all it's being. We had a delicious dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse called Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse with a side of fabulous live music. The ambiance was phenomenal. Saturday morning we went to Niagara on the Lake to check out the little town. Super cute atmosphere. It was so calm and peaceful. We toured the entire metro park area - there are so many hiking and bike trails!! A definite must do for our next trip to Niagara. One of the best stops was Inniskillin - a beautiful vineyard with ice wine... It. was. so. good. ... a must-do for Niagara visits. They specialize in ice wine - where they create wine with naturally frozen grapes. Saturday night was our main event!!! We went to Niagara Falls with a goal in mind: to see Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance!!!!! You guys, it was absolutely phenomenal. I cried. It is seriously a dancer's dream. They danced with purpose, precision, strength, energy, and smiles. It was just absolutely amazing. I can't say enough about it. So cheers to a great weekend. I hope you all had a fun weekend too! Here's to a new week back in reality!
