You can’t live for others one question I get all the time or I see get asked especially from those that are new to African Traditional Religion is how can I get my family, mate to accept my path. Guess what they don’t have to accept your practice. One of the most freeing things we learn in life is that we don’t have to like everyone, everyone doesn’t have to like us, and it’s perfectly okay. And they don’t have to like your life choices or your spiritual path.
I have a confession to make: I am a recovering people pleaser. Always trying to help and please and my Tata recently reminded me to respect my time. If I had a dollar for every time I did something that I didn’t want to do or because I was trying to help people elevate and evolve and didn’t want people to go down the wrong path or leave there true purpose behind if I said no, I would be a very wealthy woman. Even with my students, mentees I was just reminded I give to much and stop trying to please others and please myself. We are all human we make mistakes myself included so if you find yourself getting off track and being that pleaser remember that decisions become easier when your will to please the Inner God in yourself outweighs your will to please the world. #currentmood #ipraise #ipray #joy #livelifemyway #lifelivedbeautifully #currentsituation #yourblessed #godlywoman #lovefrequency #love #ilovemylife
