Yeah, this has been me so many times. Either I was not skinny enough, short enough, tall enough, light enough, or dark enough. Maybe it was because my hair was not short enough, long enough, kinky enough, straight enough, or not a particular color. Maybe because I didn't dress in heels every day, wear skirts everyday or wear make up all the time. They all opted for "her." I was the "homegirl", "sister", "friend", and "homie". Maybe because my father always told me it was about who I was inside.
I questioned why most men are superficial (the ones I seem to gravitate towards). Today, I don't question. I just laugh... and write. Using those stories to fill my chapters. Never giving them credit, but a smile to say thanks. Thanking them for inspiring me to be more of the woman I will always be. Ladies, just know that comparing and contrasting can sometimes lead to doubt. Doubting yourself should never be an option. Love the ingredients God put in you to make you that special flower. If someone cannot see your beauty because they cannot make it past "a look", or something "physical", KEEP IT MOVING! #appreciateHisDesign #godscreation #phenomenalwoman #realwomanhere
