The back streets of #Tokyo, #Kyoto and #Osaka are home to many charming little guest-houses and inns - but new #minpaku (short-term stay) legislations coming into effect in #Japan in June 2018 will put many of them out of business, with strict limits imposed on their operations. Even worse, particularly for #AirBnb #apartments operators, local municipalities and building management companies will have complete jurisdiction over individual neighbourhoods and buildings. The best ways forward for those among you who own entire structures and wish to lease them short-term are to either -
1. Apply for a hotel license, (which has just been made a lot easier), OR -
