She had been bleeding for twelve years. Doctors had made it worse, people rejected her, therefore I can’t imagine what was going through her head as she pushed through the crowd to get to Jesus. Faith gave her strength to go through the very thing that rejected her. Faith healed her (through Jesus of course). Faith that although the world had failed to heal her, Jesus would never fail. “your faith has made you well”(Mark 5:34).
Jesus, let me always have faith that moves crowds and mountains.
Written in Judeo Palestinian Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke, and yes.... it uses the Hebrew alphabet.
Getting this translation was a STRUGGLE. There are no databases, but I did find an article on Christianity Today about people from the area still speaking it, of a man who is now the head Professor of Hebrew Studies at UCLA who knew the language. So I went on UCLA’s website, found his school email, prayed, and wrote the most well articulated email ever written in all three of my years in AP English lol. Well.... he emailed me back. Thank you God, you are so good. Even if you don’t give y’all us anything else on this earth, you already gave everything when you gave us your son.
