Being a millennial, i totally get the addiction to screens. I grew up with a phone being a normal thing to have, and ended up living with my face in the screen. The problem with that? i’m living in a fake world, where the photos are edited, the lives of people seem perfect and i’m constantly comparing my self to all these perfect people. The problem with this is, none of it is real. No one has a perfect life and judging ourselves based on what we see online is only causing major self destruction. Never mind the fact we now miss so much, our attention span is shorter, we lose the ability to speak face to face and create a generation of anxious confused kids who can’t cope with the ‘real world’. So this was me.. like many others. And that’s why i now urge you to limit the time your on your phone. Stop these self sabotaging and self destructing habits of comparison and wasting time. Social media can be great for connecting, but it can also be the complete opposite if misused.
Spend more time doing real life activities and spending time with loved ones, i promise you’ll feel better for it🙏🏼
