Hey folks. I’ve never made an introduction or an “about me” before and I really appreciate all of you that have followed me for the last year and a half, so I thought I give your a little insight. My name is Elliot and I grew up in Grays harbor/Olympia Washington. I have always been a active outdoors kinda guy but my original love was always drawing. I couldn’t go anywhere without my pad and paper. Eventually I would attend the Evergreen State college and would try and take every class related to art. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life but I knew, somehow, I wanted to create art for a living. Come the end of College I felt lost and wasn’t sure where my path should go. I would eventually join Americorps and spent two seasons learning about trail work at Mt. Rainier National Park. I then was lucky enough to get on the trail crew at Olympic National Park trail crew and still work there today. Since College it had been awhile since I created any real art. The in 2015 I pick up a cheap wood burning pen just to use on a side project. I became fascinated with the tool and wanted to get better. With the wood burning I found I wanted to be a better wood worker. So now, my newest journey is become a craftsman/ wood burning artist. This spring I will begin my wood working journey with starting classes at the Port Townsend school of wood working. I’m so excited to learn a whole new skill set and pushing my artistic boundaries. Thanks again to all that have regularly followed and I have appreciated all your kind words. I’m excited for this next chapter.
