The video of the @momafoods minty freshness porridge.
Here is the review again in case you missed it (totally not me being incredibly tired from revising today and feeling too brain-dead to write another caption....😅 Crazy caption service will return tomorrow)
@momafoods Minty Fresh Porridge Review!
The awesome people at MOMA sent me this pot of their new, limited edition minty fresh (chocolate and mint) porridge to try.
When I first heard of chocolate mint porridge, I was perplexed.
It’s a very radial flavour to put into porridge that would be difficult to perfect, but MOMA has made it work!
Upon opening the pot, you can smell the sweet aroma of mint. Mixed in with the jumbo oats (which you can see clearly- it’s not powdery at all) are dark chocolate chunks that eventually melt when you pour on the boiling water. I don’t know if it was my imagination, but I thought I saw a hint of green too.
The taste is extraordinary. Both the chocolate and mint are subtle on their own, yet together they make a distinctly delicious minty cocoa base. One doesn’t overpower or take centre stage, they are in harmony. There little choir of flavour also include the oh so important oats; wholegrainy, hearty and satisfying. If you’ve every had an after eight mint, it’s like that but toned down. Very very scrumptious!
The thickness is fairly thick. It drops off your spoon and isn’t cakey, but is still filling. There is some chewiness to the oats but overall they are soft and smooth, occasionally with some thicker ones that require your teeth to do some extra work.
This MOMA porridge is fresh, fun and fabulous. Like the name suggests, it is fresh. It would be really good for summer when you want something to revive your tastebuds from the sun’s heat, yet still want something that will fill you up.
You can buy this porridge exclusively on MOMA’s website. It’s limited edition so get to it fast before it goes! To my fellow porridge connoisseurs, you know the need to try a quirky flavour. You must get this!!
8/10 porridge points!
Have you tried this? What do you think?
Let me know!
