Raghda stands in Mosul University Library, which was horribly damaged in the fighting. ISIS burned the library and all of the books before losing control of the area.
For three years, Raghda was not able to pursue her studies. After living under ISIS for two years, her family was displaced to Hassansham camp. When we met her in the camp, she had no hope of ever returning home, let alone to university.
But against all odds, Mosul University has reopened and Raghda has managed to return to studying – and has recently passes her exams with flying colors. She is now looking forward to her nursing placement at Mosul General Hospital.
Double tap to support Raghda and all the young Iraqi people working hard for a better future in Iraq.
