"New beauty meets us at every step in our wanderings."
Not far - really probably no more than a few miles - but far enough.
Far enough to turn our lives upside down for a while.
Far enough to send the kids, who have never known another home, into transition anxiety induced tizzies.
Far enough to leave our first community home, with its memories, only's, and firsts, behind.
The new beauty will emerge soon, but right now we're in the throes of packing and painting over the last 8 years of our life, which is hard. Many seeds into our next community home have already been planted, though, and despite all the landscaping on the surface, I can almost feel the quiet power of their patient germinating. New beauty, indeed.
