One of these days I will do a video about what homeschool curriculum we chose and why... but I do want you to know I found one that emphasizes high moral character and values— this includes the stories we read, history lessons, all of it. I think achievements are important milestones — so we do celebrate them. Keeping expectations high will help the child reach to achieve in school and in society. It teaches them how to handle disappointments and to pick themselves up and carry on. I am my kids’ biggest cheerleader and I want them to WIN BIG; but I find it far more important than any grade they receive or championship they win that they learn good habits and Godly personality traits:
Being a good friend
(Anyone else singing the Fruits of the Spirit song in their head right now?)
This takes constant reminders to myself to make a huge deal of these ☝️things and to more importantly, practice them myself... which is probably the hardest thing but it’s what I should be praying for and striving for in my own life, too! 🙌
Who is with me on this? ✋ And what are your tips for keeping yourself focused on this?
