Today we drank the Lagavulin 8 years old. As part of their 200th anniversary celebrations, Lagavulin decided to recreate an 8 year old whisky edition. It's bottled at an exciting 48% and was matured in refill European and American oak casks. They have made 20.000 bottles. Tasting note: typically the nose of Lagavulin: smoky, sweet, smoky and warming. Great with Dutch old cheese and smoked sausage.
