Ya boy finally got the gym to himself. Thank God for the snowy and cold weather lol. Tried another exercise I havent done in ages...power clean and lemme be the first to say my form is garbage and something I'll be working on. Also peep out the pull up variations you can add to each round of the circuit. Enjoy.
Happy day 4 of #GratefulForMobility! I got up this morning and stretched my hip flexors! The standing and kneeling psoas stretches are another favorite of mine from @themobilitymethod! 😊 I also did yesterdays active and passive hamstring stretches again today. I'm glad I did too, because my hamstrings were still a little tight from Tuesday's workout! 🙊 .
Barre tonight was all about the glutes and core! It was AMAZING! Loretta always brings the burn! .
I didn't get a ton of sleep but more than the previous night which was good. Toddler overnight in undies can have some unexpected accidents.
I had quite a bit of help for my home portion of the workout this morning 😍 she was full of energy once she woke up!
The 1st 4 videos are from home, the 2nd 4 are from LA Fitness.
Video 1 is on Ring Dips. This is always my first arm day exercise and probably my favorite of the entire routine. For some reason these are substantially harder than doing dips on the TRX. I really want a set of 20 on these!
Video 2 is on Ring Triceps Extensions. Lighting is still and issue, hopefully that is fixed this weekend. I will say counting in my head while she is coutning super fast can be tricky lol.
Video 3 is on Ring Biceps Curls. We had Elsa flying around as I did these. I didn't have enough video time but she tries to do her version of these too at the end.
Video 4 is of my daughter swinging on the rings. This was her best set of the morning 😍 I give her a 10 out of 10!
Video 5 is on a Triceps Pushdown Super Set. Underhand to Overhand grips. The video speed is 1.5x because of length. Definitely a solid finisher to slam out the Lateral and Medial heads.
Video 6 is on Incline Dumbbell Curls. I love this exercise! I have a pretty aggressive incline setting to really force my arms back and maximize the long head usage.
Video 7 is on Close Grip Kettle Bell Push Ups from Elevation. This is my replacement for close grip bench press. The grip works much better for my wrists and I like the bodyweight aspect of it.
Video 8 is on Hammer Curls. I probably need to slow the reps down a little on these. I do these mainly for forearms as that's what they hit the most.
Before and after. Lmao. There is absolutely nothing I did different between these two photos. No training, no eating healthier no nothing. This just shows how much and quick the body changes from day to day.
