@beardfoundation brought a lot of attention to this beautiful restaurant with a homey menu. @ladyofthehousedetroit takes classic dishes and puts a fresh spin on them. Our favorite was shrimp butter toast (too dim for a good photo unfortunately) but we thought everything else we ordered didn't meet the hype from the media. I would like to try Lady of the House again because I have a strong suspicion that we should have been more creative with our order.

The #JamesBeardFoundation Taste America tour will be making a stop in #Louisville for the first time this fall and will feature big local and national names on the menu, including The @the502bar_and_bistro’s Chef Ming Pu! A benefit dinner for the James Beard Foundation will be held at Ashbourne Farms in La Grange on Friday, Oct. 19, and the dinner will be prepared by a collaboration of Kentucky chefs. This year we welcome visiting All-Star chef Maneet Chauhan as head of Taste America Phoenix’s collection of All-Star local talent. Chef Maneet Chauhan is the founding partner and president of Morph Hospitality Group in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a recipient of the 2012 James Beard Foundation Broadcast Media Award for her role as a judge on food Network’s “Chopped,” and sits on the show’s permanent panel of judges. She has also written her own cookbook, Flavors of My World. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Chauhan worked in some of the finest hotels in India before the start of her professional career in the States.
