For me, fitness is about so much more than aesthetics; it’s about how it makes me feel.
Whether I’m dancing at 6.30am covered in glitter before work, learning to build my engine at Barrys or lifting weights alongside badass women, I love the meditative state I go into when my full focus and attention is on something other than work.
I’m definitely guilty of going at a million miles per hour, the combination of working in a very fast-paced and exciting environment building and growing start-up businesses and being too social for my own good. For me, training/dancing – anything where my mind just switches off and distractions are taken away - is my ‘me’ time and personal form of meditation. While very much a personal experience, I’m fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible community of people I can now call friends who make these experiences even greater. They push me, encourage me and inspire me and it’s the beauty of the shared experience - the knowledge that we’ve been through something together, the support and most importantly the fun - that makes it all the more worthwhile.
We often search for inspiration away from our inner circle - celebrities, sports icons etc. But really it's all around us. Be inspired by your close ones! @natashalytton represents us and the type of community we have and want to build. Tash is her own architect
