Ah, "forbidden" foods. I so get it! My list of "trigger" used to be pages long until I discovered intuitive eating in 2012. It wasn't easy to give myself permission to eat all foods, but it's truly THE only way to discover food freedom for life. That's right, for life. Many will eat stuff but still feel intense guilt and worry, which is awful and no different than dieting. Or, they won't eat them because they fear weight gain (fatphobic). This is all typical diet culture programming and all of it can be unlearned! Yay! Fearful to try this on your own? Heck, I don't blame you at all. I didn't do it alone! I'm so glad I had the support and guidance of my coach who led me through all the scary stuff. It made me more confident, secure, and got me through the process much faster and easier. One of the best investments I've ever made. It changed my whole life...not just my eating. Now I love all foods, eat them without guilt or worry, and have robust health! I've also and learned to love and respect my body. Take that diet culture!
