Annapurna South (7219m) as seen from Poon Hill. My aim was to capture both Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri during sunrise but they where just a bit to far for my 135mm lens compared to Annapurna South and Hiunchuli which were both that little bit closer.

There are many shops dedicated to Laphing, which is cold but. Can be taken either dry or with soup. Making it is pretty simple. It’s made with the light chili paste, vinegar, soy sauce spread and you can add minced meat or texturized protein. If one photo could sum up my trip to Nepal it would be this one. Sagal one of our porters only 17 years old and Raaj, 18 (not in photo) were keen to get back on the trail after an late start to the day. As we broke away from the main pack of hikers, we arrived at Deurali Pass (3090m) where Sagal started yelling down into a lower Rhododendron forest. I couldn’t see anything but somehow Sagal had spotted a deer hunter navigating the alpine slopes before entering into the dense forest. As we moved further down the slope to follow the hunters steps, 7 ponies grazed peacefully despite Sagal’s echoing voice. Raaj and I sat behind a few half eaten shrubs as Sagal approached the only white horse which showed a slight interest in the few pieces of grass Sagal held in his hand. After a quick sniff of his hand, the pony moved on leaving behind one of Nepal’s most iconic sounds πŸ›Ž

Boudhanath in 4K.
A massive thanks to @emilypolar for the catch up and giving me a bit of a tour around this magnificent structure where Tibetan Buddhism is practiced.
It’s like there’s an endless motion of waves with people coming and going, cleansing incense dispersing as people pass by. There is just so much going on (too much for me to name) but it’s all of these elements that come together to creating one of the most unique experiences I have had the chance to be apart of πŸ™πŸΌ

What to see the difference a decent edit makes?? SWIPE to see original. πŸ˜‚ I'm going to share more of these for you lucky ducks. #htm2018 #pokhara #nepal

This was my first real opportunity to capture some quality images of mountains around the Annapurna region and I had to make the most of every moment and every angle in order to get these shots. This one for example, I set up with a direct view which looks relatively direct to Annapurna Basecamp. Unfortunately an inversion layer obscured both Annapurna South and Himchuli leaving me to focus on Machhapuchhre (which turned out to be very ideal). I should have the results of these images up within the next 5 days as they are RAW files.

It’s so strange how life changes so quickly once you enter Kathmandu. Everyone is in a rush to get from Point A to Point B but there’s always order amongst the chaos.

I only noticed after watching this timelapse multiple times that the guy in the pink shirt in the top left hand corner makes 2 sneaky appearances...it’s a bit like Where’s Wally.

Mules and ponies descending from Ghorepani after delivering loads of rice and goods to the more remote villages in the Annapurna region. The tracks around this area consist mostly of hard, slippery stone which to the human are hard to navigate but as I noticed, mules and ponies can easily descend and ascend these stone stairs with ease...this mule had time for a quick pose.

Ghandruk is officially my favourite place in Nepal! Completely surrounded by mountains such as Machhapuchhare, Himuchuli and Annapurna South.
πŸƒπŸŒΈ
This place although quite difficult to access due to the vast amount of stairs and I mean thousands of steps (it didn’t do any favours on my knee) is on my to revisit list.

I got a tip from a friend on the trip that there was a little village, quite different in architecture from the rest of Ghandruk perched precariously on a steep cliff facing toward Machhapuchhare so I woke up at 430am (I was the first person awake in Ghandruk) and set off to find this stunning village...the views didn’t let down.
