Shall we leave Helsinki in an hour? Are you ready for the next destination?

Blowing hot and cold: a serious lesson on Finnish sauna etiquette

Happy in Helsinki.

So, in five days I go. I'd call this one, an expedition. 3 weeks, 4 countries, 4 girlfriends gather from different parts of the world, sleepless nights, active days and vice versa. So I'm thrilled, yet down to earth. I'm anxious, but have no fear (well, that's kind of relative). I am dreaming, usually during the day, so that would make it daydreaming mostly, but I can tell reality from fantasy, if needed. What do you mean there are no unicorns? I don't feel enthusiasm, just pure pleasure (that's relative, too). No promises, no expectations, no disappointments. Follow the river, follow the flow and there will flow. BBbbblow!

That's a good one. 🎧
Throwback to a day, just before a tropical storm, in Cozumel, south Mexico. ~ Joe Goddard ~ music is the answer ~

They say do Venice during "Biennale di Venezia" or "Carnevale di Venezia". They say do Venice with your boy, do Venice with your girl. What's up with that?
I did Venice with mamma mia, early February. No Biennale, No Carnevale, pretty cold, pretty windy, pure beauty, waters are clean, locals are calm, prices are fair. All The Invisible Cities of great Marco Polo unfold before your eyes. Real eyes realize real lies.

Throwback to a hot summer day and a cracking cold craft beer at Mar das Latas, overlooking Praia dos Pescadores in the small village of Ericeira, in South Portugal. So, as you look straight you see th fishermens' cabins. In one of those, every day, at a very specific time, a very specific local fish is being prepared. Ooofff!!straight from the ocean. Having spent almost 20 days in this small village, famous for world record surfers, world record beaches and sand and waves and fishermen, I can say that Ericeira is an awesome spot, with breathtaking views by the Atlantic Ocean and a very strong personality. In Ericeira , I have tasted the cheapest and most delicious steak sandwich of my life. My home for the days was a big big house with many nice people co living, all locals, all friends or friends of friends and two big big dogs. This house had a beautiful back yard and the kindest lady baker right next door. That's where I used to take breakfast every morning half asleep in my frog pajamas. That's where all the roommates had breakfast. At different times of the day. An espresso and a Portuguese sweet custard tart. For less than a dollar. And that's the <more or less> story of 20 days, in Ericeira.

Let yourself go. Pull out from the depths those thoughts that you do not understand, and spread them out in the sunlight and know the meaning of them.

‘Time moves on and seasons change. Nothing ever stays the same’

I know these will all be stories some day and our pictures will become old photographs

For the sun every morning is a beautiful spectacle and yet most of the audience still sleeps

“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past”
