I'm a solo traveler with a "slightly" ambitious dream - to visit all 81 astonishing provinces in the Philippine archipelago. Ever since I started traveling, I was able to develop a love and passion for mobile photography. I get hyped to take travel photos. My aim is for the world to witness all the breathtaking destinations I laid my eyes on through my photographs.
Of all the places I've been to, I took my best shot in El Nido, Palawan. This was taken using my old mobile phone, LG G4. And if I am to give a title to this photo, I would choose "Chona Mae."
Last 2012, an earthquake hit the Visayas which caused panic and hysteria in Cebu, my hometown. People were rushing to go home, running in the streets, wanting to go uphill because a tsunami was about to devastate our humble city. But it never happened. Cebuanos then made a joke that the reason behind the frenzied reactions of the people was because a father was looking for his daughter named "Chona Mae" in the streets during the incident. When he called out her name, people misheard it as "tsunami" which made them freak out.
The waves at the Seven Commando Beach looked tsunami-like, hence the title. And I am proud to say that this is the best shot I took in 2017.
