#EcoLeaders

This past week we collaborated with a fellow island NGO @kanahau_utila on the Eyes of Utila event. The Eyes of Utila is an annual photo competition for the local children to better connect them with their environment and local wildlife in hopes they will grow up to be future eco-leaders. During the event, the children participate in many fun activities and at the end we held a ceremony to announce the winners of the photo competition. This is one of the many rewarding outreach programs we are lucky to participate in on Utila.

This morning, Summit Middle School marked its 10th year as a #GreenStarSchool! Congratulations! We are so proud of all of the amazing #zerowaste work being done in our local BVSD schools with the help of Eco-Cycle’s schools department staff! ♻️ 📸: @bvsdcolorado via Twitter

Don't get discouraged about what it will take to turn our ecological situation around. As Nelson Mandela said, "It always seems impossible until it's done."
