I use to always be someone who would always talk about the things I wanted without really taking the actions needed to get where I wanted to be.

Saying things like “I wish I was bigger” or “I want to be leaner” or “I want to look like this or like that” Come on, we have all done it. The funny thing is that I never did the one thing I NEEDED to do to achieve those goals. CHANGE!

The problem wasn’t the Gym, it was my nutrition. Always guesstimated my meals thinking that I was hitting my numbers in my head when on paper I wasn’t. Snacking on relatively healthy foods being like “Eh, what’s 50 calories here and there” lol 🤣Needless to say I wasn’t making the progress I was going for.

Fast forward to now - finally got a coach (@paulrevelia) and finally started listening to my wife @xtinasullivan Who always tried to preach the importance of nutrition. Started taking everything more seriously and have been seeing the results I have been visualizing. I have been cutting for a few weeks and it’s crazy how much a calculated nutrition program can change your physique!

Never mind my wrinkly fingers, let’s talk snacking friends.
A 2011 report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture revealed that Americans are snacking at least ✌🏼times as often than in the late 1970s, making up at least a quarter of our daily calories 🤔
Don’t get me wrong, I am an avid snacker. I love to nosh on a little sumthin’ sumthin’ between meals BUT...
The key is to make it worthwhile. A snack is not a meal and I find it’s easier to remember this by pre-portioning out my snack instead of digging my hands into a chip bag for an unknown amount of times.
If you still struggle with portion control at snack time then try and keep your snacks mainly fruits or vegetables (with a heavy emphasis on zee veggies) because they are generally lower in calories. 🍏🍌🌶
Pair with a protein like hummus, dollop of nut butter, or a string cheese and you’re good to go 🙌🏼
My favorite go-to is baby carrots or @harveststonesnacks flax crackers dipped in homemade classic hummus 🥕

Purple and green kale with roasted beets (multicolored) with garlic and roasted medley baby potatoes 😋
I massaged the kale with lemon and avocado oil to soften the kale, then added the roasted beets and roasted potatoes and mixed with a bit more oil and pink salt......and Voila! A beautiful, delicious salad 😋
