Confused and dazed woman on July 5 at 9pm.
We were upstairs when a loud noise startled us all. So, we all went downstairs to check if someone had broken in. No one. However, as I was about to go up the stairs, I noticed someone, a woman, through my glass front door. Of course I didn’t open the front door. I just opened the side window to talk to her. She said she doesn’t know why she’s there, she’s confused and she’s looking for someone. She told me not to call the police and she asked for a bottled water. I wasn’t about to let her in but I walked around the backyard to place the bottled water on the side gate and walked back in. I just kept my eyes on her through the windows. She kept pacing back and forth and sitting on the bench by our front door; and at this point I called the police and asked the dispatcher to send someone out. The woman was wearing a gray sweater and gray sweat pants; she had a shoulder bag and a cell phone in her hand. I don’t think she was homeless at all. After about half an hour, she drove off with her car. We waited for a few minutes before stepping out. First thing we noticed was our ceramic puppy figurine shattered. The loud noise we heard at the beginning was her smashing our ‘puppy figurine’ on the floor, which we’ve had for years. Poor thing!
I don’t know if Anaheim police drove around my house but if they did, they would have gone hours later because we waited for awhile and we didn’t see anyone drive by. I guess, unless you are in an eminent danger, you’re at the bottom of the list to be patrolled on.
I’m definitely getting a doorbell video so we can monitor and record any activities at our front yard and around our home. I hope and pray that this was just an isolated incident. #eastanaheim #ctrcityanaheim
