The first time that I met Charles Cripthwick (outride of my sister’s letters #clementinedicoco) was in Paris. Cripthwick, summoned me to France to help him with his budding business. He ran an underground mime ring with an iron fist. He was like a pimp, and the mimes were his whores. He protected the mines, but took 90 percent of the prophets for his own pockets.
@Castlecripthwick wanted me to help him control his school of mimes. I was fresh out of the infantry and he assumed I was a militant type. He was wrong. To his bewilderment, I connected with the mimes. They became my friends. My family. Cripthwick was enraged! He was especially jealous of my friendship to Old Pierre, a grandfatherly mime deaf mute. Old Pierre became the father figure he longed to be.
I became a top earner on the streets of Paris. Eventually I was approached by the famous theater producer, Romani Petitfour, who agreed to fund a stage play, knowing that "DiCoco" could draw in that crowd. I enlisted all of my fellow mimes from the Cripthwick troupe.
We wrote and rehearsed our play, Le Beau-Père Du Diable. It was a protest piece aimed at Charles Criptwhick, the tyrant pimp. We were very proud of our play, and Petitfour was thrilled. The buzz electrocuted Paris. And then... Opening night.
Although the show was sold out, we knew something was amiss when when we looked in the audience and only saw four or five shadowy figures. It was Cripthwick. He bought the house and came with a few of his face painted mime scabs! But the show must go on. We decided to perform anyway- we acted our hearts out. But at intermission... Charles lit a match.
The theater went up like a pile of hay in hell. Next thing I know, I was bagged and dragged upon a ship. Charles kidnapped me and hauled me off to sea. We were enemies... But then we met the mermaids and everything changed... #dicocoandcripthwick———————————————————————— #mime #history #paris #magic #mermaids #theater #writing #poetry #weird #bizarre #oddlysatisfying #facts #cinema #drama #dramaclub #cats #puppies #poem
