I'd just like to take a moment to say how much I love the city. So many people retreat to the countryside or to the mountains when they need to escape, but those places are where I grew up. Those places are amazing and I will always love them, but they are no change of scenery to me. To me, the chaos and congestion and noise, and all the other things most people would call atrocities committed against all things tranquil, are the very things in which I find tranquility. From the sketchy homeless people, drunken tourists, sirens, and construction, to the live music, the inevitable adventures, and the constant animation, I love everything about the city. I understand that Denver is still just a hodunk farm town in comparison to the likes of NYC or Chicago or LA, but it's still a big city in it's own way. I am so much happier here than I was this time last year and I am so grateful that I'm happy again and if that makes you cringe then suck my ass.
