SHOULDER AND CHEST TIPS Try this exercise to hit your shoulders and chest in a new way. Squeeze 2 plates together or 1 plate (no need to go super heavy on this exercise) and make a V motion with your arms extending out on each side and retracting back to the center each time. I moved onto rows after I squatted to gauge my 5 rep range with CLEAN FORM. I found that it was at 185 lbs. What weight can I do while keeping my body parallel to the floor and not compromising my form. I definitely could have gone heavier maybe 5-10 more pounds but it wouldn't have been as clean. So I will start the madcow program at 185 lbs for my barbell row. Gotta check the ego and do it right, Champ. I looked at the weight it's going to start me at and it begins at 170 the first week my ego immediately said... increase it. I'll row again on Friday and see how I feel.
