Finished with 2018 recitals. It was my great pleasure to see all the friends here in the audience, you have made the concerts wonderful and I'm truly grateful for it. Other than having extremely short preparation time, the biggest challenge for this concert is to present repertoire that shows great varieties: Schumann from Germany, Faure and Debussy from France, Sibelius from Finland and Gershwin from America. All these composers own distinctive musical languages in their works. After detailed study on each piece, I am able to invite the audiences into the charming world of these compositions while performing for them.

Mark your calendars! On November 30th, RSC presents Debussy's Children's Corner in a whole new light. Originally a solo piano suite written for his daughter, we have expanded this work for Pierrot Ensemble and are excited to present it in collaboration with dancers from @umichsmtd. The ballet runs 45 minutes, choreography by Florence Woo and direction by Tal Benatar. Perfect for children of all ages - especially those still young at heart!
One of the oldest Romanesque Churches in France. Built on the site of an even older Gallo Roman Villa in the 11th century it still retains the simple character of the Romanesque style. In fact the whole of this tiny village retains its original character. Built by a bend on the Vezere River. It’s gorgeous. I was a bit miffed that we weren’t allowed inside during a practice piano recital at midnight Even after I had guessed what was being played #Debussy Had to wait til Sunday morning. #spoilsports . The roof is made with stone wedged between chestnut batons. This is typical of older buildings in France and particularly the Dordogne Departement. Called Lauzes you can imagine these roofs weigh tons!
